 While in University Brenda discovered wine tours in Europe. Cheese and crackers, a student traveler’s cheap meal! Well, something funny happened between Athens and Paris and wine became the star attraction. More travel, more wine and more questions for the kind folks at the liquor store followed. After arriving at Algonquin College as a Librarian, Brenda was dutifully taking Business courses when on a whim she chose Wine Appreciation over Accounting. This was a happy match and in 2002 she graduated. Brenda has found that the certificate makes travel, meals and friendships better. She is a member of the National Capital Sommelier Guild and the Vineyard Vixens (Wine appreciation for full-bodied babes). She enjoys the yearly Ottawa Food and Wine show and lends her Sommelier skills to charitable events at the College. |
