As you know, one of your fellow Algonquin Sommelier Certificate Grads and former Instructor, Véronique Rivest, has recently won "Best Sommelier in Canada" honours. She is now working feverishly preparing for the World’s Best Sommelier competition to be held in Barcelona, Spain in March, 2007. All this requires a tremendous amount of time and money. The National Capital Sommelier Guild (NCSG), many of you are members, are supporting Veronique financially and you can participate. She is already the recipient of the NCSG Botner-Nicholson Scholarship and the $1000 accompanying it, as well as a cheque for $1000 from the NCSG and its members.
