The focus of this course is "How is wine made", through a detailed examination of the winemaking process from vineyard management to the glass. Included are in-depth descriptions and discussions of different techniques and their resulting impact on the finished wines. Students will taste wines created using the practices discussed in class. An absolute "must have" course for anyone interested in becoming a polished taster or furthering their understanding of oenology.
Prerequisite(s): HOS5026 or HOS5027 and HOS5162
